In connection with a transformer module, the network interface module (NAK) forms the so called network interface unit (NAE). It protects the operating personnel in the container, respectively in the cabin from high contact voltages. Furthermore, the connected users are protected from overvoltage, which can be caused, for example, by lightning. The network interface module is installed in containers and cabins.
Characteristics and features:
The network interface module and the downstream intermediate transformer form the network interface unit for transportable plants, such as containers or shelters. The installed overvoltage protection, which secures connected devices and operating personnel from overvoltage, conforms to DIN VDE 0845 / VG96901 T4. The primary entrance area is insulated according to DIN VDE 0100-717. Mechanically, all inner surfaces are lined with GFK pallets and DOGLAS 180G. On the outside, inspection windows allow for an optical examination of the overvoltage arresters. The basic installation corresponds with the modular standard system according to MTV 4110-1 with a flange size of 353x353mm.
