In 2006, as an industrial clerk, a personnel service provider asked me whether I could imagine working in the utilities department if a partially privatized prison for an internationally active service company. Half a year later, I received my employment contract as central assistant at today’s steep GmbH (formerly Serco).
Three years later and after a number of other activities – for example as a shift supervisor or for work preparation in our workshops – I found my permanent position as a commercial employee for the operational management in the correctional facility. My job includes the preparation and maintenance of internal statistics within the scope of contract and sales controlling, the preparation of various reports and protocols, the organisation of meetings and workshops as well as the coordination of cooperation with external specialists in the field of health management and occupational safety.
steep offers me a wide range of activities in a highly interesting working environment. The company constantly improves its corporate culture and its business areas, so that new and interesting work contents and challenges arise for me again and again. As an employee, I always experience that my superiors and colleagues treat me respectfully and fairly. My superiors are interested in my opinion and have confidence in me. I have the freedom to organize my working day to the greatest possible extent.
I received excellent support as part of my professional training as a specialist for office and project organisation. In addition, steep offers its employees good in-house training on a regular basis when it comes to innovations in their field of activity or in legislation. A variety of team-building measures provide a good opportunity to exchange ideas with colleagues.
As a project like the correctional facility Hünfeld is limited in time, every contract extension is an extraordinary highlight. And steep also properly celebrates success.
This is what the steep is like:
Innovative, successful & attractive!
