Surveillance and (access) control are an essential necessity in security environments such as military installations, courthouses or airports. The detection of dangerous goods is just as important as the observation of human behaviour – and both are difficult. The evaluation of technical resources in real time, from X-ray images to surveillance videos, is not only a tedious task, but requires trained personnel.
This almost inevitably results in security gaps that can now be addressed through technical innovations: The steepATREMOS Threat Detection System supports operators in security and surveillance technology by mapping various control tasks based on artificial intelligence with modularly usable components and thus minimising potential dangers.
High-Level Image Evaluation
The steepATREMOS XRAY component detects potential threats in both raw and image data and – depending on the design of the system – detects dangerous goods and contraband in both stationary and mobile X-ray units. This allows a wide range of object sizes to be scanned for threats during access control. It is characterised by a high detection rate (>95%) and a low false alarm rate (<0.05%). steepATREMOS XRAY is usually integrated directly into the X-ray system.
steepATREMOS RETRO is a flexible addition to this. Even obsolete systems can use this technology thanks to the retro-fit approach – even without manufacturer integration.
steepATREMOS GUARD rounds off the product group towards video surveillance. It helps to detect weapons or abnormal or aggressive behaviour in people.
